Some of us will still pull handmade gifts out of the air despite the lateness. I started just last Tuesday and have practically finished a little bedding set for the bed/bath plastic monstrosity that we got from the thrift store for my stepdaughter. It has a mattress, pillow, decorative pillow, pillow case, sheets, blanket and quilt(that is made from leftovers from her quilt). Only the quilt is left to quilt and bind.

I still intend on making a hat for my stepson that matches his dinosaur shirt. If I have enough leftover material my husband will get a matching hat too.

I will also be transferring some of my stepsons pictures onto transfer 'printer sheets' and my Mom and husband will be getting original art by Piero on Tshirts.

Should I be so lucky as to have some left over time... I will be buying some minkie and making some easy 2 piece bears for them.

I know it is December but there is time to pull a couple of simple items out of our creative hands.

Wow! I just found your blog and LOVE it (followed a comment from Green Phone Booth). I have a store at an Ecovillage; some things we make here in our artisan co-op, some we purchase from the talented crafts-people on etsy. Here are two or our items: A hand-sewn carrier for bamboo flatware & cloth napkin (no more disposables!) http://store.milkweedmercantile.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=86_2&products_id=232

and a very cute hand-embroidered bib: http://store.milkweedmercantile.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=82_71_95&products_id=323

One of our favorite Etsy products are the Sweater Balls made by Handmade Pretties in Iowa: http://store.milkweedmercantile.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=82_71_96&products_id=197

Happy Thanksgiving!

OMG, I LOVE this lady's work. She hand-crafts jewelry from dichroic glass and it's GORGEOUS. Well made too, I've had a necklace from her for over a year with no issues. In fact, I'm wearing one of her pieces right now...
