I just ordered some lunapads for my step-daughter. She's 12 and just started menstruating. She didn't seem at all concerned with cleaning them, but when I told her about the Diva she got this really weird look on her face while wildly shaking her head NO.

I use the Diva and know what you mean about the need for a back up band. I am hoping to use one of her lunapads when they arrive to figure out how to make my own. With all the closet clearing going on I have a mountain of repurposable fabric forming.

yeah, I tried making a sample pad for Crunchy last month and it turned out looking more like a personal floatation device. Maybe they really are supposed to be that big?!?!

Don't know... the backup bands, as you put it, are so simple to make, though... I whipped up about 25 of them in under two hours. Hence the giveaway...
