Hello,
after you return from vacation…
I am wondering if you have resources for mailing your bags. I will soon be sending out my crafted products and am looking for environmentally friendly packaging. Esp packaging that can be reused by the recipient. Any ideas?
Thanks again,
Robyn
Robyn..thanks to Burbanmom’s advice I use USPS flat rate packaging and services. The envelopes and boxes are made from recycled materials and can be recycled. The boxes can be reused, but the envelopes have a tear top. You could reuse them for organizing papers, or as dividers for fragile items, but probably not for shipping on their own. I also like using flat rate because the shipping cost is very clear – no guess work. Burban also pointed out that USPS goes to every home everyday already, so you aren’t really adding any miles. For my filters, I am just using envelopes that I already had. They aren’t recycled, but I figure it is better to use what I have rather than buy new. When these run out I will just buy 100% recycled ones. I hope this helps. What do you make?
Thanks so much – good thoughts. I’ve been gone a bit, so just now replying. I knit, crochet & sew lots of things…scarves, hats, fingerless mitts and I’m starting to make hemp products. Just got an account with etsy but don’t have my shop set up. I’m excited!
