I have many of those funky, old refrigerator dishes that I pick up at garage sales or on ebay or whatever. Those are nice, too.

Thanks so much for the laugh. I love the plate method myself. I was already laughing before I got to the "two week course" part. Now people are staring at me.

What do you suggest for clumsy people? You know, those of us who break the plates when they fall off the leftovers while being retrieved from the fridge? Seriously, I have broken a couple that way...

Ha. I was just talking to my sister about not using plasticwrap in the nuker. It can leach nasty shit into your food and make your son grow boobies and such. Don't do it, man. Ever!

I knew the microwave one, but, wow, it also works in the fridge???

I haven't used plastic wrap probably in over a year, but I forget plates can also cover things in the fridge. (insert eyeroll at self here)

One caution - watch the temps on the plates. Some of mine get really hot in the micro - I have even burned myself. But at least the food was still cold.
